Setting the Course – 2

.
A monk studied under a great Cambodian master for 12 years.
One day he asked “Master, what if i decided i want to go to hell and check it out?”
“No you can’t” said the master.
“Why?” asked the monk.
“Because…” the master replied.  “the path you’ve chosen does not lead in that direction”.
“I see.  Master, what if heaven was my destination?  Will I go…?”
“No you can… not.” said master with calculated delay.
“Why not?”
“Because your path does not lead there either.”
.
“So where will my path take me master?”  The middle aged monk asked.
“What did you just ask me… and how did you feel when you asked it?”
The penny dropped and the monk realised.  “There is no path.”
